THEY HATE MILTON FRIEDMAN at the U. of Chicago.  100 professors sign a letter condemning the great economist and the establishment of the new Milton Friedman Institute, which promises to pursue research in the Friedman- dominated tradition of the "Chicago School" of Economics.

The guild members of the university are never more true to themselves than when they are joining arms to enforce a rigid party line on intellectual work.  Without independent sources of scholarship like the Friedman Institute, the university would be far worse intellectual shape that it already is.

I'm guessing that there are single papers by Milton Friedman which have contributed more to human knowledge than the work of all of these "scholars" combined.  Just a guess.
