runs afoul of the U.S. Constitution. It's interesting that the former great great grandson of slaveholders is re-introducing a form of servitude. John McCain, also the great great grandson of slaveholders, shares a taste for Federally pushed national servitude.
It's rather telling about both of these guys that neither one of them have spent any serious time of their lives doing honest work in the private economy, freely serving others in the for profit sector without a taxpayer subsidized Federal check, fellowship, welfare payment, government pension, or grant money.
I think both of them should be forced (at the pain of losing all their millions in wealth) to work a year doing a manufacturing job, a year running a small business, and a year driving a truck, before either one of them is allowed another government / "public service" position -- or another penny of grant money or Federal tax dollars.
And then every taxpayer in America should be allowed to whack both in them 5 times on the head while saying, "You work for me, I don't work for you."
