UPHOLDS THE CONSTITUTION, kinda, sorta. In dissent, Justices John Stevens, David Souter, Ruth Ginsburg, and Stephen Breyer joined together in issuing a minority edict directing the President to stamp "VOID" in thick black ink over the 2nd Amendment on the copy of the U.S. Constitution now in the National Archive. It was widely anticipated that the President would ignore this edict, unless the four were joined by a fifth. It was not clear at this time whether the President would be personally charged with the task of apply the ink blotter to the historic document.
