SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA

is going overwhelmingly for Mitt Romney over John McCain.  Local talk radio hosts have been hammering John McCain relentlessly, and giving Romney lots of air time.  This is perhaps more significant in freeway dominated So Cal than it is anywhere else in the nation, because in this area talk radio has more listeners than the newspapers have readers -- and far more influence.  Polls suggest that Romney will likely sweep Southern California, and with it the state of California.  I'm guessing that how well McCain does today in California will be determined by how strong he does in San Francisco and liberal Northern California.
